How to make PERFECT boiled eggs!

Making the perfect boiled eggs is much easier than you think!

Up until a few months ago, I had no idea how to boil eggs. Which I know, sounds crazy. I’m 30 years old and just learned how to boil eggs. For a long time, I would just bake them in muffin tins and call it a day. However, my family didn’t want to eat those “boiled” eggs because the baking process usually caused some browning on the inside of the eggs.

For this reason – I learned how to boil eggs.

It’s super easy – you can do it. Here are two easy methods for making amazing boiled eggs!

Rapid Dash Egg Cooker

Y’ALL. This is a game changer. It take about 15 minutes total to have perfect boiled eggs, every single time! You literally just pierce the eggs, add water to the bottom of the egg cooker, and press start.

Once the eggs are done cooking, I put them in a bowl of ice water just to help them cool down quicker. They peel perfectly every single time!

Traditional Boiled Egg Method

What you need:

Directions:

  • Put your eggs in a pot and fill the pot with water.
  • Add a tablespoon of baking soda to the water.
  • Bring your water to a boil (with the eggs and baking soda already in the water)
  • Once boiling, turn the heat off… but keep the pot on the eye of the stove!
  • Let the eggs sit in the water for the desired amount of time:
    • 5 minutes – SUPER soft, runny yolk
    • 8 minutes – Still super soft but less runny yolk
    • 10 minutes – semi-firm yolk
    • 12 minutes – completely DONE yolk

My personal favorite is to leave them in for 12 minute!

  • Once the timer goes off, put your eggs in ICE WATER. Let them cool completely.
  • Peel the shells off of the eggs and ENJOY! I love sprinkling them with salt.

I make a lot of boiled eggs each week. Doing weekly meal preps help me with food management and losing weight. The perfect boiled eggs are a STAPLE in my weekly meals!

A typical week for me is oatmeal and a boiled egg for breakfast, a pre-prepped meal (like the Asian Zing Chicken Bowl) for lunch, trail mix as a snack, and then a light low carb meal for dinner.
